Shutter and i were doing Chain Home tower maintenance last night. Actually he was doing the maintenance, I was riding along taking pictures.
This is him in the left seat, and his awesome Tower Maintenance!

Saddly, the Chain home station is very old,its lifts are not working anymore and there is a lot of welding that needs to be done. The safest way to go up there is climbing on the "palm tree". I was able to get up there with great care, not to hit the rotor on the tower structure. After the first tower had been repaired, the Commander said that he wanted to land this time. On the approach, a gust of wind threw him off balance and hit one of the railings with a skid. The *beep* thing was so rusted, this was enough to make it fall apart like a deck of cards.

Now that's more like it. Perhaps Whitehall will let me do tower maintenance after all?
Perhaps I'm not such a menace to men and machine? Slowly getting the touch.
